Two illustration artworks were selected for exhibition at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. One, entitled Fauna Amazonia, had previously won the Gold Award in the Book Category, Society of Illustrators Los Angeles Annual Juried Competition in 2002. In this case it won the overall Silver Award. It was originally commissioned by a German publisher to convey the intensity, richness and variation of fauna prevalent in Amazon Rainforest lower canopy ecosystems. The second image represents a giant scarab beetle from North Africa Goliathus albosignatus, and this won the Commended Award. It was originally produced for an encyclopaedia of invertebrate life.
