A Service Creation Environment (SCE) aims to\ud speed-up the process of designing, developing, deploying, testing and maintaining telecommunication services. This paper describes the solution build in the\ud context of the IST SPICE collaborative project. The developed SCE exploits generative techniques to produce implementations from abstract service\ud definitions as well as a flexible execution engine capable to manage variability in component usage and selection.
