Dengue was first discovered in Surabaya in 1968, when it happened 58 cases with 24 children died. The research objective was to determine the effectiveness of yam tuber extract in the control of mosquito larvae of Aedes aegypti and Aedes alboi Pictus. This is a research experiment with Posttest Only Control Group. The population of as many as 780 larvae, 375 mosquito larvae Aedesaegypti tail samples and 375 samples tail Aedes albopictus mosquito larvae and 30 individuals for both controls. The concentrations used in this study is 0.02%, 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15%, 0.20%. The study was conducted with five repetitions. The independent variable in this study is the yam tuber extract concentration and the dependent variable is the larvae of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albo Pictus. The results showed no difference in concentration of 0.02%, 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15%, 20% extract of yam tubers (p-value = 0.000), the relationship concentration of 0.02%, 0.05 %, 0.10%, 0.15%, 0.20% yam tuber extract (p-value = 0.000), and the effects of various concentrations of 0.02%, 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15% , yam tuber extract 0.20% (p-value = 0.000) on the death of larvae of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albo Pictus. Suggestions should use larvae try with higher numbers in order to obtain more accurate data and valid. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak umbi gadung dalam pengendalian larva nyamuk Aedes aegypti dan Aedes alboi pictus. Ini merupakan penelitian ekperimen dengan Posttest Only Control Group. Populasi sebanyak 780 ekor larva, 375 ekor sampel larva nyamuk Aedesaegypti dan 375 ekor sampel larva nyamuk Aedes albopictus dan 30 ekor untuk kedua kontrol. Konsentrasi yang dipakai pada penelitian ini yaitu 0,02%, 0,05%, 0,10%, 0,15%, 0,20%. Penelitian dilakukan dengan lima kali pengulangan. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah konsentrasi ekstrak umbi gadung dan variable terikat adalah larva Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albo pictus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada perbedaan konsentrasi 0,02%, 0,05%, 0,10%, 0,15%, ,20% ekstrak umbi gadung (p-value = 0,000), hubungan konsentrasi 0,02%, 0,05%, 0,10%, 0,15%, 0,20% ekstrak umbi gadung (p-value = 0,000), dan pengaruh berbagai konsentrasi 0,02%, 0,05%, 0,10%, 0,15%, 0,20% ekstrak umbi gadung (p-value = 0,000) terhadap kematian larva nyamuk Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albo pictus . Saran hendaknya menggunakan larva coba dengan jumlah yang lebih banyak supaya data yang didapat lebih akurat dan valid.  Kata Kunci : Larva  Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albo pictus
