The high birth-rate is still a major demographic problem in Indonesia. One of the programs intended to minimize the rate of population growth is Family Planning Program. Even thopugh this Family Planning Program has been already running, up to now, its implementation still faces many constraints and one of them is that still many of the couples in reproductive age are not yet the active Family Planning acceptors that the target of Family Planning set has not yet been achieved. The responsibility goes to the Family Planning Field Workers assigned as the implementers of Family Planning acceptor recruiting program through Family Planning Service and Development Program. The purpose of this study was to find out the Influence of Program Service and Family Development by the Family Planning Field Workers on the Achievement of Active Family Planning Acceptors in the Family Planning Coordinating Board of Simalungun District in 2013. This explanatory survey study with cross-sectional design was conducted in the Office of Simalungun District Family Planning Coordinating Board. The population of this study was 40 Family Planning Field Workers serving in Simalungun District and all of them were selected to be the samples for this study through total sampling technique. The questionnaires used in this study were divided into two types, one for Family Planning Service and the other for Family Development. The validity of Family Planning Service Program ranged between 0.62 – 0.640 with the reliability of measuring device of 0.818 while the validity of Family Development Program ranged between 0.826 – 0.344with the reliability of measuring device of 0.859. The result of this study showed that both Family Planning Service Program (p=0.004) and Family Development Program (p=0.042) could explain the achievement of active Family Planning acceptors. It is suggested to increase the number of Family Planning Field Workers to increase the targeted Family Planning achievement rate. The Family Planning Field Workers should improve their performance and keep doing continuous monitoring in the villages in accordance with the predetermined working area that the Family Planning acceptors can be optimally controlled. 117032011
