The present study aims at evaluating the polyphenolic compounds of plant Oenothera rosea L' Hér. Ex Aiton in branches and leaves of five different methods. Phytochemical analysis for the abundance of tannins which are of great industrial importance is determined. It identifies and classifies tannins Oenothera rosea L' Hér. Ex Aiton , finding the presence of hydrolysable tannins and condensed . Deepened in valuing different types of tannins found , using methods Lowenthal and Folin - Ciocalteu for hydrolyzable tannins Stiasny and Technique Proanthocyanidin for condensed tannins using the UV method for the determination of both tannins in aqueous extracts and ethanol , the ethanol extracts being those with greater extracting power. El presente estudio tiene como finalidad la evaluación de los compuestos polifenólicos de la planta Oenothera rosea L'Hér. Ex Aiton en ramas y hojas por cinco diferentes métodos. Por un análisis fitoquímico se determinó la presencia abundante de taninos los cuales son de gran importancia industrial. Se identifica y clasifica a los taninos de la Oenothera rosea L'Hér. Ex Aiton, encontrándose presencia de taninos hidrolizables y también condensados. Se profundizó en la valoración de los diferentes tipos de taninos encontrados, utilizando los métodos de Lowenthal y Folín - Ciocalteu para taninos hidrolizables, Stiasny y la técnica de la Proantocianidina para taninos condensados, usando el método Ultravioleta para la determinación de ambos taninos en extractos acuosos y etanólicos, siendo los extractos etanólicos los que presentan mayor poder extractante.
