The following paper analyzes two discourses published on Redes (Journal on Science and Technology Studies), during the organization of a dossier devoted to the debate over a sale of a nuclear reactor to Australia by the Argentine company INVAP. The paper looks into the texts focusing on the organization of the discourses parts (dispositio), facts and truths that each author assumes, and the enthymematic premises and its mains motifs (topoi), by applying the classical theory of argumentation and the new rhetoric. The novelty of the corpus lies in the opportunity, within an academic university publication, for the public use of word and the presentation of a science and technology issue as a citizen debate in which there is also a participation of authors who belong to different communities and who offer themselves to debate acknowledging each other as valid speakers.
