En este trabajo se desarrollará un controlador Z-Wave de bajo coste orientado a su instalación en viviendas, oficinas o edificios públicos, para poder controlar diferentes aspectos como puede ser la climatización, luminosidad y confort de cara al usuario final. Actualmente existen diferentes y numerosos controladores de este tipo en el mercado, pero en su inmensa mayoría están los problemas de compatibilidad y el precio que estos suponen. La idea es que con un solo controlador, poder controlar todos los dispositivos que se quiera, sin estar limitados a solo controlar la luz o la climatización como ocurre actualmente con muchos productos en el mercado, además de poseer la característica de ser muy competitiva si se habla del precio de los diferentes controladores. Para poder realizar el siguiente trabajo, nos basaremos en el protocolo de transmisión Z-Wave, protocolo ampliamente extendido a nivel mundial en lo que a domótica se refiere. Al tratarse de un protocolo que se podría definir como universal, hace posible que la pasarela diseñada sea compatible con un gran número de artículos disponibles en el mercado, lo que permite realizar instalaciones con dispositivos de un precio relativamente bajo y que con el tiempo seguirá bajando de precio según todas las previsiones. En conclusión, el poder usar un controlador domótico que además se salga de los fabricados por las empresas permitirá poder ampliarlo en un futuro para añadir más opciones como es el poder controlar dispositivos de diferentes protocolos, dispositivos IP o hacer ampliaciones de funcionalidades en un futuro siguiendo trabajando sobre el controlador. In this project, we will develop a low-cost Z-Wave controller specifically orientated for use in domestic and office environments along with public buildings and public use buildings. The device will be able to automate building systems such as the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, illumination (artificial and natural) and the general comfort of the end-user. Numerous different systems exist commercially but the majority tend to suffer problems related with a lack of compatibility and high price. The intention is that a single controller could be created to activate and deactivate virtually all the devices that can be found in the aforementioned environments without being limited to switching just the lights, or air-conditioning, etc. which is exactly what happens with the majority of the products on the market. We will also try and address the pricing problem to be as competitive as possible. To be able to complete this project we will be implementing the Z-Wave transmission protocol which is used extensively worldwide with regards to Home Automation. Being a protocol that could be defined as universal, it makes it possible for the designed gateway to be compatible with a large number of articles available in the market, allowing installations with devices of a relatively low price and that will eventually go down of price according to all forecasts. In conclusion, the power of use of a domotic controller that compared to those manufactured by other companies, will allow to be expanded in the future to add more options such as the ability to control devices from different protocols, IP devices or make extensions of functionality in the future working on the controller.
