Mission

The University is autonomous in the carrying out of its activities, fulfilling its autonomy byconducting educational, scientific research and artistic activities in accordance with its mission,in particular by independently, among others, establishing study and research programmes, and setting out the manner for their implementation in accordance with the principles of open science.[The Statutes of the University of Ljubljana, Article 6 on autonomy of the University]

Contribution to Open Science

University of Ljubljana, established in 1919, participated in the OpenAIRE projects as a National Open Access Desk since 2010 as well as in other international and national open science projects.

Goals and objectives

Adopt rules on open science, aligned with Horizon Europe;conclude contracts with publishers, compliant with the Plan S provisions; reach regular deposit of all peer-reviewed research publications in the Repository of the University of Ljubljana; establish support and training for research data management.
